Process of Changing Company Name
Step 1: Name Availability Check
Check MCA + Trademark database for availability. We recommend keeping 2-3 name options.
Step 2: Board Resolution
Board passes a resolution approving the name change + convening of EGM.
Step 3: EGM + Special Resolution
Convene EGM. Pass Special Resolution (75% majority) approving the name change + amended MoA.
Step 4: File MGT-14
File Form MGT-14 (resolution) with the ROC within 30 days of EGM.
Step 5: RUN for New Name
Apply for new name via RUN form. If approved, the new name is reserved for 90 days.
Step 6: File INC-24
