| If your business… | Usually better fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Is a SaaS, agency or services startup with founders and investors working remotely | Zoho Books | Cloud access for founders, auditors and us without remote-desktop set-ups; bank feeds and gateway imports |
| Is a manufacturer or trader in Peenya, Bommasandra or similar, with batches, godowns and job work | Tally Prime | Deeper inventory, BOM and godown controls, and most local staff already know it |
| Sells on Shopify, Amazon or Flipkart | Either, if settlements are mapped | The ledger mapping matters more than the software; see e-commerce accounting |
| Has a US or Singapore parent asking for monthly reporting | Zoho Books | Multi-currency, shared access and scheduled reports are simpler to run |
Zoho Books accounting on its own starts from ₹2,499 a month on our Zoho accounting plan. Online sellers can go straight to e-commerce accounting, which adds settlement, COD and TCS reconciliation to the books.
| Package | Price | Suitable For |
|---|---|---|
| Bookkeeping | From ₹2,999/month | Low-volume businesses that need clean, reconciled records |
| Essential Accounting | ₹4,999/month | Small businesses and early-stage companies |
| Growth Accounting | ₹14,999/month | Growing SMEs and startups |

The final scope depends on:
Good bookkeeping in Bangalore is judged by whether the returns that depend on it go out on time and agree with each other. These are the recurring dates we close the books against for a Karnataka business, as of October 2026.
| Filing | Who | Due date |
|---|---|---|
| GSTR-1 | Monthly GST filers | 11th of the following month |
| GSTR-3B | Monthly GST filers | 20th of the following month |
| GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B under QRMP | Quarterly filers up to ₹5 crore turnover; Karnataka is in the 22nd group | GSTR-1 by the 13th, GSTR-3B by the 22nd of the month after the quarter |
| GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C, FY 2025-26 | GSTR-9C above ₹5 crore aggregate turnover | 31 December 2026 |
| Karnataka professional tax on salaries | Employers, for employees earning ₹25,000 a month or more | ₹200 a month, ₹300 in February (₹2,500 a year per employee) |
| Professional tax on the business itself | Companies, LLPs, firms and GST-registered persons, among others | ₹2,500 a year |
| Tax audit report | Turnover above the Section 44AB limits for FY 2025-26 (Section 63 of the Income-tax Act, 2025 from tax year 2026-27) | 21 October 2026 for FY 2025-26 (CBDT Circular 7/2026); from tax year 2026-27, one month before the ITR due date, in Form 26 |
Nine employees earn ₹25,000 a month or more and three earn less. The three below the limit pay nothing. For the nine, the company deducts ₹200 each from April to January and in March, which is ₹1,800 a month, and ₹300 each in February, which is ₹2,700. Over the year that comes to ₹22,500, exactly ₹2,500 per employee. The company also pays its own ₹2,500 a year. If payroll is processed at ₹200 in February, the shortfall shows up as a demand later, so we check the February run each year. See our professional tax service and the state-wise professional tax guide.
| Service | What you get | When you need it |
|---|---|---|
| Bookkeeping | Every transaction recorded and classified, bank and gateway reconciliations | From the first month of trading |
| Accounting | Bookkeeping plus ledger review, GST and TDS ledgers, receivables and payables ageing, monthly P&L and balance sheet | Once you have employees, investors or a lender asking for numbers |
| Book finalisation | Year-end adjustments, depreciation, provisions and audit-ready financial statements | Every year before the audit and the return |
GST and TDS returns sit on top of the books but are separate scopes: see GST return filing and TDS return filing. For a wider view of what outsourced bookkeeping should include, read our bookkeeping services guide.
When we take over books from a previous accountant or a founder-run spreadsheet, the same issues come up again and again. Each one shows up later as a GST notice, a TDS default or a delayed audit.
| Problem in the books | What it causes | How we fix it |
|---|---|---|
| Razorpay or Stripe payouts booked as sales | Turnover understated, gateway fees and their GST credit lost | Sales from invoices, gateway clearing account per gateway, fees booked from the monthly tax invoice |
| SaaS tools billed in USD from outside India, with no GST entry | Reverse charge IGST missed in GSTR-3B, interest exposure | Import of services ledger, RCM paid and claimed in the same return |
| Founder paying company expenses from a personal card | Expenses missing, director loan balance wrong | Monthly reimbursement claim with bills, posted to a director current account |
| Contractor and rent payments without TDS | Disallowance of the expense and interest on late deduction | Vendor master tagged with TDS section and rate, checked before each payment run |
| ESOP or investor money with no share allotment trail | Share application money outstanding, ROC and FEMA questions | Separate share application ledger, cleared against allotment and Form PAS-3 |
If the backlog is more than a couple of months, we usually close it through book finalisation in Bangalore first and then start the monthly cycle. Traders and manufacturers holding significant stock can add a stock audit before the year-end close.

Accounting & Bookkeeping Services - From ₹2,999/month
CorporateWalla's accounting and bookkeeping services start from ₹2,999/month, with packages at ₹4,999, ₹14,999 and ₹34,999 per month. The final fee depends on transaction volume, software, reporting requirements and business complexity. Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes.
Bookkeeping is the recording of every sale, purchase, expense and bank entry in the books. Accounting builds on it: reviewing the ledgers, reconciling GST and TDS, preparing the monthly profit and loss account and balance sheet, and closing the books at year end. Most Bangalore businesses need both, which is why our packages start with bookkeeping at ₹2,999 a month and add accounting scope as volume grows.
Yes, if you employ people in Karnataka. Employees earning ₹25,000 a month or more pay ₹200 a month and ₹300 in February, which is ₹2,500 a year, and the employer deducts and pays it. Those earning less pay nothing. A company, LLP, firm or GST-registered business also pays ₹2,500 a year on its own account. We track both in the books.
Monthly filers in Bengaluru file GSTR-1 by the 11th and GSTR-3B by the 20th of the following month. Quarterly filers under QRMP file GSTR-1 by the 13th and, because Karnataka is in the 22nd group, GSTR-3B by the 22nd of the month after the quarter. Our bookkeeping is closed before those dates so the returns match the books.
There is no legal requirement for a CA to keep your books, and a trained accountant can do it. A CA is required to sign a tax audit report, a statutory audit and certificates with UDIN. Our bookkeeping is done by accountants and reviewed by a CA, so the books are ready for the auditor without a separate clean-up at year end.
Yes. We work with businesses across Bengaluru, including Whitefield, Electronic City, Koramangala, HSR Layout, Indiranagar and Peenya. The work is done remotely on Tally Prime or Zoho Books, with documents shared online and review calls scheduled each month, so your location within the city does not change the scope or the fee.
Many SaaS, agency and D2C startups in Bengaluru choose Zoho Books because founders, investors and auditors can all access it online and bank and gateway feeds cut manual entry. Manufacturers and traders with batches, godowns and job work often stay on Tally Prime for its inventory depth. We work on both and can migrate from Tally to Zoho from ₹9,999.
The Income-tax Act, 2025 applies to payments from 1 April 2026. TDS on salaries now sits in Section 392 (old 192) and most other TDS in Section 393, so ledgers and vendor masters need the new section references for tax year 2026-27. Books and returns for FY 2025-26 remain under the Income-tax Act, 1961.
Depending on the package, monthly accounting can include bookkeeping, sales and purchase accounting, expense accounting, bank reconciliation, receivables, payables, ledger maintenance, monthly closing and agreed financial reports.
Both. CorporateWalla can provide accounting support using Tally Prime or Zoho Books, and can also review workflows built on spreadsheets or other accounting platforms.
Yes. We generally review the existing records first. If the books contain substantial historical issues, additional cleanup may be required as a separate scope.

TDS-related accounting records can be maintained where applicable. TDS return filing should be confirmed as part of the scope.
Yes. Depending on the engagement, reports such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, trial balance, receivables, payables and expense analysis can be provided.
Yes. MIS reporting is available as a separate or combined service for businesses that need management dashboards rather than only accounting reports.
Yes. Book finalization and financial statement preparation can be added to the accounting engagement.
